Visitors to the Northside Workshop's (NSW) newly designed Native Bee Sanctuary and chemical free-teaching garden will meet artist Juan William Chávez and master garden Kiersten Torrez to learn more about the Native Bee Stewardship Network and how to advocate and support native bees through self-expression, environmental stewardship, and community building. Site Description: Northside Workshop is a non-profit art space founded by Juan William Chávez in 2012 and is located in Old North St. Louis.
Northside Worshop's native bee sanctuary sculpture and chemical-free teaching garden will be open to the public on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 10 am - 3 pm. Native bee zine and information will be available with workshops scheduled in May and June. The building was restored through a collaboration between the Kranzberg Arts Foundation, Old North Saint Louis Restoration Group and Juan William Chávez.
All ages are welcome. Adults must accompany young people.
